10 Tips & How To Save Battery on a Mac!

For every MacBook users, especially those who are traveling, long battery life and the health of the battery is very important position. The tips below will help ensure you get the most out of your MacBook battery over its lifetime.

1. Turn off AirPort Wireless (Wifi) if not needed

If you do not need internet and if there is no WiFi networks within range, turn off AirPort far will save your computer’s battery. It is also wise to use more wireless Ethernet cable if that option exists.

2. Turn off Bluetooth when not in use

9. Do not disable core CPU

10. Calibrating the battery every few months

Finally, if your battery is showing signs of a shorter run times, you might want to try to calibrate the battery (every few months). To calibrate the battery, follow these instructions:

a) Fully charge your MacBook.

b) Once fully charged, leave it plugged in for at least 2 hours.

c) Disconnect the MagSafe power adapter and use your computer until you get the battery level warning message.

d) Ignore the message and continue running your notebook.

e) Finally, the machine will go to sleep.

f) Do not install. Instead, let sleeping at least 5 hours.

g) After the time has elapsed, plug it back in, and let it fill up.

h) Once fully charged, the battery has been calibrated correctly.
